The Golden Compass.

Christian, Sonia and me went to Plaza Singapura yesterday to watch a movie. Last minute outing. I met Chris at Plaza Singapura at 8.30pm. We waited for Sonia to arrive. God, was she late. So, while waiting, the both of us chatted. I told him that i could never get a boyfriend in Singapore because guys here don't appreciate the way i look. You know what he said, he said, "But i appreciate how you look". Then he laugh. So, i don't know, how to react. All i said was," yeah right." Then i laughed too. I guess he's always been nice. Always saying nice things to make me feel better. So, anyway, we waited...and then Sonia arrived. I swear when i looked at her, she looked high. God, she was smiling for no reason. She couldn't walk straight and she did smell of liqour. I asked her if everything was alright, and said yeah. Chris told me to send her home, but Sonia insisted we watch the movie.

So, we bought tickets to watch the Golden Compass. The ticket timing was at 9.50pm. I was worried, cause i had a curfew. I had to be back by 11pm. But, i said screw the curfew, i bought the ticket. After buying the ticket, i looked at Chris, and he saw my worried look and he said, "Don't worry, i'll send you home."

My jaw almost dropped to the floor man. I looked at him and just said, " How? " Then he look at me as if i was dumb and said, "Taxi". Of course i argued with him about that. I mean i can't just let him pay. But he persisted and insisted. So, i allowed him to be the gentleman he yearns to be.

So, while waiting for the movie, we all went to burger king to eat. Sonia only wanted onion rings. I, on the other hand was hungry, so i bought my favourite, Double Mushroom Swiss. Haha. Chris wasn't hungry cause he ate chicken rice. Haha.

So, when we wanted to eat, Sonia had to go to the washroom. So only Chris and me were at the table.

Chris keeps telling me that he's a gentleman. And i keep on telling him he's not. So, we keep on arguing about that. He keeps pinching me. Irritating. AND, he ate half my fries! So much for not being hungry Chris. Anyway, Sonia came back, finished her onion rings, and we went to Cinema.

Before entering, Sonia went to the toilet again. F.Y.I, people who are drunk, pee alot. So, it was obvious.

So, we watched the movie. Chris sat in the middle. Sonia lied down on his shoulder. And he didn't complain. He gave her the support she might have needed. After the movie, it was already 11.47pm i guess.

Before waiting for the taxi, Sonia wanted to go to 7-11. She bought a can of Tiger Beer. I looked at Chris and he looked at me. We both were suprised. But we didn't say anything. To make things worse, the cashier was a transvetite. GOSH.

We waited at the taxi stand, Chris was smoking, and Sonia wanted to try how to smoke. She inhaled, and released the smoke almost immediately. And then she acted like she was high. Hahaha. Like she was on weed.

We got into the taxi. Chris sat in front, i sat with sonia. She lied down on my shoulder, and slowly moved down my chest. Hahaha.

Suddenly, she started talking. Crying. She told me she failed her CA. by 5 marks. She told me she misses her family. She currently lives alone right now. Her parents are staying in Delhi. So, she's all alone. She cried, and all i could do we be there when she did.

This is the lives of average singaporeans. you never know what really is going in their lives until you probe in hard enough.

I love you Sonia, you'll always be 1st in my heart in the friends section.

And be strong. Whatever happens in your life, handle it. Cause that's what strong girls do. Handle it.
